Please check to make sure that you will meet the required course pre-or co-requisites, as you will not be able to find and select a course in Course Match for which you have not met any necessary pre/co-req. Requisites can be found on the course catalog.
If you are interested in requesting a waiver, please note the following:
- Waivers are not granted for requisites that offer an exemption exam (exemption exams are offered for Capital Markets, Introduction to Programming Using Python, Real Estate Finance, Business and Climate Change, and Foundations of VC.)
- If you’re interested in obtaining a waiver for a course that does not have an exemption exam, you need to email the Division Chair and secure the waiver for the course. You may find the contact information for Division Chairs below. If your waiver request is granted, be sure to forward the approval to [email protected] so the necessary updates can be made in Course Match. Individual faculty may not waive a pre- or co-requisite for a course.

*If you believe that you should be enrolled in Launch your Startup without having to take Foundations of Entrepreneurship, you must send an exemption request to by the address above. Please allow at least one week for a response, as your request may require deliberations among faculty.
**If you would like to request a waiver for Real Estate Transaction, please email Angela Lee. Waivers will not be granted for Real Estate Finance, as there is an exemption exam available.
