Student clubs are an integral part of the student experience at Columbia Business School. We have over 80 vibrant and engaged clubs that have focuses or specialties that may be of interest to you.
Club Categories
- Affinity Clubs celebrate and strengthen members’ identity by creating a safe-space through affinity networking and enlightening and gaining support with the broader CBS community through school-wide shares, speakers and events.
- Athletic Clubs offer opportunities for students to engage in physical activities, recreational sports, and competitive events, promoting fitness, teamwork, and community.
- Community Service Clubs focus on providing impactful services to our local neighborhoods.
- International Clubs assist in celebrating the various cultural backgrounds of the CBS student body and may also enhance career-related insights for a specific geography via events and regional alumni engagement.
- Leadership Boards consist of students who oversee club activities, provide strategic direction, manage resources and ensure alignment with the CBS mission.
- Professional Clubs provide CBS students an opportunity to develop their professional skills and interact with business leaders throughout various industry sectors.
- Social Clubs provide community based on shared hobbies, interest in leisure activities for CBS students.
Club Membership Eligibility
- Club membership is open to all MBA, EMBA, MS & PhD Business School Students.
- All CBS student clubs are open to business school students regardless of identity(ies) or sex(es).
- Dual degree students may join clubs at the beginning of their residency at CBS.
- Exchange students are eligible for club membership during their time at CBS.
- Non-Business School students may not join clubs and may be able to attend non-member events at the discretion of club leadership.
Club Membership Sign Up Periods
- CBS student organizations can be joined during announced times during the Fall and Spring semester.
- Clubs may opt to charge dues, while some may be free. All memberships are for one academic year.
- Club memberships are non-refundable. In rare instances, requests may be reviewed at the discretion of the Office of Student Affairs.
